Chris Wessell elected President of Capital Region HR Association

Pinnacle co-founder Chris Wessell has been elected President of the Capital Region Human Resource Association for the 2016-2017 program year. The Capital Region Human Resource Association (CRHRA) is the northeastern New York State Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The Chapter was founded in 1946 and is currently comprised of over 1,100 professionals, employed in various human resource functions in over 500 companies. It is one of the 18 largest chapters of SHRM in the United States.

Chris has an MBA from UAlbany with an HRIS concentration (2004) and has been PHR certified since 2009. He has been an active CRHRA member for 14 years, starting in graduate school serving as President of the UAlbany SHRM student chapter, going on to be involved in several committees over the years and serving on the CRHRA board from 2008-2011.

Chris is currently a member of the executive committee for the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Northeastern NY (and an active classroom volunteer), as well as a past board member of organizations such as the Schenectady County Community College Foundation, the Capital Region Recruiters Network, the UAlbany Alumni Association, the Capital Alliance of Young Professionals, the Stakeholders, GenNEXT, and Best Buddies New York.



Pinnacle Recruiting joins the New York BizLab (Times Union)

Today, Pinnacle was named as an Advisor to the New York BizLab, an accelerator and incubator created by Antonio Civitella, CEO and Founder of Transfinder. Pinnacle co-founder Chris Wessell will be working onsite in the newly remodeled building at 251 State Street in Schenectady NY one day a week to provide recruiting guidance to resident startups.

Craig Fluty named a Mentor for IgniteU NY

Pinnacle co-founder Craig Fluty is a Mentor for IgniteU NY, a startup accelerator in downtown Troy NY. In this role, Craig provides support to the entrepreneurs in the program.

“I had the pleasure of speaking with the members about some of their individual struggles. I then implemented a discovery process which included their peers asking probing questions to flush out the root of the challenges. Then we ultimately shared our own pertinent experiences with the challenged team member in hopes of enabling a self-help moment.”

Craig Fluty on how to get the most out of vacation (Inc. Magazine)

Pinnacle co-founder Craig Fluty was quoted in this Inc magazine article about how entrepreneurs get the most out of their vacations;

“Recently, instead of flying to a destination, we rented an RV and my family drove two days to Tennessee where we met other family members. The secret was that we simply made where we were the place to be. We went nowhere special, but since I was with the most special people to me, we had the best time ever.”

Pinnacle co-founder Craig Fluty, an active member of the Albany Chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization has been named to the board as Membership Chair, with the responsibility of finding and vetting new members for the organization.
